I am a calm and patient teacher. I provide my students with questions and take it up with them. I have a very interactive teaching style that I adapt to suit the needs of the student.
Biography (tutoring history)
As a young student, I realized that I enjoyed helping my classmates with their school work, Because of this, I decided to volunteer as a peer tutor when I started high school. I gained experience tutoring grade 9-11 students in biology, chemistry, physics and functions. Through this volunteering, I connected with students at my school and tried to help them achieve their academic goals. I ended up being recruited by one the students as a private tutor because her parents were very impressed with her progress. And so, I began to tutor privately in my community. During my undergraduate degree, I also tutored university students in various disciplines of the biological sciences, first year chemistry and physics as well as biochemistry and some organic chemistry. Currently, I am a medical student at a Canadian medical school and so I mentor pre-medical students and guide them through writing their medical school personal statements. I am still a student myself so I understand what it means to try your best at something and feel completely stuck. I have had a lot of help along the way in my academic career, and I hope to provide that help to someone who might be struggling.
